Apart from its adorable face and dimensions, Corgis are smart, easy to train and have a practical, low maintenance, dirt-repelling coat of fur. They are loyal to their masters and get along relatively well with other pets. They also make good watchdogs and don’t require much room to romp around in or a huge amount of exercise to be happy. There are two distinct breeds of Corgis: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
The Corgi is an eager to please, low maintenance dog with a loving, intelligent nature and loads of affection and loyalty to its owners. They make excellent watchdogs. However, they bark a lot, and this may be disturbing to you or your neighbours. Corgis must be trained well to curtail nipping and generally inculcate obedience in the dog.
The Corgi comes in two distinct breeds: the Pembroke Welsh corgi and the Cardigan Welsh corgi. Both dogs have long, low bodies and short little legs with a skull that is wide and flat between the ears. Color of the coat ranges from red to black and tan with white markings. Some Corgis are born with longer coats than others.
