They grow up to be a medium to large dog that requires a lot of exercise and a good sized back yard to play in.
As puppies a Golden Retriever just wants to play and eat.
They need to be trained as they will be a big, strong dog. The bonus is they learn quickly.
Golden Retrievers are a very social dog – especially as a puppy. Let them meet lots of people but remember it is best they stay away from other ‘unknown’ dogs until they have had their final immunisation shots.
