The thing with greyhounds is that there are a lot of rescue greyhounds available so if you are considering a puppy why not rescue a slightly older greyhound instead?
A greyhound makes an awesome pet. They have had a bad image problem – walking around with guards over their faces. where in-fact they are one of the most friendly, loving dogs around.
A medium to large ‘sleek’ dog they are famous for their speed. With a smooth coat and keen sight they are a gentle breed that is very intelligent.
They make great pets but need lots of play and walks.
The problem with greyhounds is that there are a lot specifically breed for racing and if they do not make the cut they are no longer wanted. These are loving, gentle dogs that have done nothing wrong but they need our help. So please consider a rescue greyhound over a new puppy.
