Hi his name is Chip he is a 5yr old Irish wolfhound x.
He is an indoor dog only. He won’t like being locked outside over night.
I have had him since 4 months old. & have house trained him. He also understands a few things like: wait , leave it, outside/toilet time , get a drink & have your dinner, move. & bath time.
He also doesn’t jump on people. But he is a bit strong on the lead. He absolutely loves playing with the hose / water. And he loves his baths. He will stand in the bathtub and enjoy the pampering with warm water. Sometimes he even tries to climb in.
He has never been locked outside for more than 1-2hours at a time .he is always inside and only goes out for toilet trips or when visiters come over. He also doesn’t like the heat so I put the air con on for him when it’s over 26degrees & in winter he loves his thermal dog coat . he also sleeps on the couch or on his humans bed & his memory foam bed on the floor . He doesn’t prefer other dogs in the family. He loves to be the only dog to get all the attention of his human. He absolutely loves car rides and puts his head out the window. He is currently eating leaps & bounds dry food from petbarn. So if you change his diet do it little by little each day of the new food in with his previous food so he doesn’t get sick or upset stomach. Also for any future owner of the beautiful male dog named Chip he will definitely be worried & fret going with a new family and may take 4-5 months to start to be himself and show his gorgeous personality which is very normal when dogs are rehomed. It may take 4-6months for him to fully settle down and stop stressing & fretting for his old family. You will definitely find a loyal friend in him.
